Our innovative research has received international recognition, including the award of the Queen’s Anniversary Prize in 2008 for outstanding work at world-class level.

For postgraduates pursuing research degrees, we run a thriving doctoral programme where interdisciplinary scholars break down traditional boundaries between subjects. Internationally recognised research informs teaching on all our programmes across undergraduate and postgraduate levels – ensuring our students are best prepared for future employment or further research.
